We are Now Hiring a Dispatcher in East Hartford, Connecticut!   
  • Check in of drivers for their shift; ensure proper uniform, and driver fitness for duty.
  • Assist with MDT re-sets, swap outs, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage response to tour accidents, incidents, and breakdowns.
  • Coordinate movements of 40+ drivers providing service.
  • Using all features of and logging information to trapeze computer and daily operations report for times, mileage, fares and vehicles and trip status/incident information.  Must be able to monitor multiple screens/runs and track efficiently.
  • Assigning reporting drivers with phones/buses and recording needed information.
  • Gathering and communicating information between drivers, schedulers, and Management as needed.
  • Keeping up to date status of driver progress on tours
  • Moving tours based on driver staffing/vehicle needs.
  • Assisting by locating available drivers for open tours.
  • Assisting drivers with locating passengers and completing paperwork as needed. 
  • Interact with safety and training supervisors, billing department, maintenance staff and other departments as needed.
  • Assist in gathering information for incident reports from drivers.
  • Ensure telephone communications are professional and friendly.
  • Coverage of open Dispatch shifts as needed.
  • Drive open tour as needed-3 months’ time is given to get passenger endorsement if you don’t have one.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Knowledge of service area.
  • Work well with drivers in team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Be able to handle heavy radio and phone traffic.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Good organizational and Customer Service Skills.
  • Computer experience with Windows based software, Excel/Word
  • Excellent attendance and work record and Passenger Endorsement on your License.
