This position is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of the Maintenance and Operations Facility and Streetcar station stops.
 
Starting pay $27.66 with yearly increases. Full benefits after 90 days.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides daily inspection, periodic maintenance and repairs of the maintenance and operations facility and Streetcar station stops per maintenance plans in order to meet daily contractual requirements
  • Performs all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with original equipment manufactures' requirements, the Streetcar maintenance program and associated SOPs
  • Works with maintenance and operations facility, Station manufacturers, and sub-suppliers’ field personnel to support warranty work and administration
  • Provides support for subcontracted major facility repairs and servicing
  • Supports Transportation staff in response to Station and maintenance and operations facility equipment failures and assists in ensuring continuation of revenue operations
  • Adheres to all safety and organizational rules, policies, and procedures
  • Ensures equipment/facility availability requirements are consistently met
  • Supports the Streetcar Vehicle and Wayside working groups whenever required
  • Reports all accidents, incidents, or unusual transit occurrences and accurately completes all required reporting
  • Other duties as required

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Qualified to drive and possess a valid State driver’s license in good standing
  • Relevant training or certification in building or equipment maintenance is preferred
Experience:
  • Two years’ experience a related field is preferred. Equivalence of experience and education will be considered.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical specifications and manuals
  • Must know how to operate standard office equipment, two-way radios, fleet vehicles and other related shop equipment; familiarity with an Asset Management system(s) would be beneficial
  • Must have ability and knowledge of basic hand tool uasge
  • Must have good oral and written communications skills
