Description

This role oversees safety education, accident prevention, loss control, and regulatory compliance for the organization. The position involves managing the training department to develop high-quality bus operators through comprehensive training focused on customer service and safety.

Responsibilities
Key duties include coordinating activities related to on-the-job injuries, light-duty assignments, workers' compensation claims, and liability matters. The role establishes and maintains a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment per all applicable regulations and policies.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Guiding location trainers, developing training content, teaching classes, and scheduling training
  • Investigating incidents, accidents, injuries, determining fault, completing reports/files, counseling drivers
  • Overseeing scheduling processes to ensure safe, timely service delivery
  • Planning and conducting monthly safety meetings aligned with goals
  • Assisting and training drivers on passenger management and safety issues
  • Performing driver road evaluations
  • Supervising safety and training staff
  • Providing reports and analyses on safety trends, developing cost-saving recommendations
  • Other duties as required
 Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check.
 
 Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. 
  • 90% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities. 
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer. 
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
