Contract Administrator

Hiring Immediately for a Contract Administrator. Annual Salary up to $100,000!
Under direction of the Senior Director of Procurement, the Contract Administrator will select vendors and contractors via competitive solicitations for the purpose of awarding and managing public and private sector contracts for a wide variety of commodities, equipment, construction projects, and technology products & services required by multiple facilities of a transportation organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage purchases in a full & open competitive environment with post-award contract administration.
- Prepare and solicit requests for quotes (RFQ), invitations for bids (IFB) and requests for proposals (RFP).
- Research marketplace for common & innovative products, equipment, technology & services, and source vendors & contractors who will meet or exceed the organization’s technical & commercial requirements.
- Specialize in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and New York State procurements.
- Contribute to & lead/assist cross-functional teams in the development of specifications & scopes of work.
- Arrange, coordinate and lead vendor/contractor meetings, site tours & conferences.
- Analyze, evaluate and tabulate offerings, process change notices/addenda and negotiate contracts.
- Create procurement documentation including Staff Summaries, Responsibility Reviews and DBE Reports.
- Participate in procurement and industry-specific conventions, expositions and trade-shows.
- Resolve contractual disputes and perform other procurement-related duties and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Finance or other related field of study, plus three (3) years of applicable experience, or an appropriate combination of education and work experience.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiations, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing – will interact with all levels of personnel.
- High performance work ethic-multi-task & deliver on a timely basis with minimal supervision.
- Organized self-starter who works well on team assignments and on an individual basis.
- Strong Microsoft® Office Suite; proficient in Excel.
- Familiarity with cost & price analysis concepts for procurement actions and contract modifications.
- Experience with Federal Transit Administration, New York State and/or local procurements, is desirable.
- Experience working in a procurement department of a transportation organization, is desirable.
- C.P.M., CPSM, CPPO, CPPB and/or other applicable procurement designation is desirable.
