About the Position 
The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the facility. Reporting to the General Manager and responsible for all duties pertaining to maintenance of the facility. 
Our Facility Managers are responsible for:   
  • Coordinates work performed by outside vendors. 
  • Oversees the development of efficient repair schedules; reviews repair cost estimates 
  • Approves priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operations 
  • Helps to ensure that company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently 
  • Controls and monitors' inventory 
  • Ensures that the Facility is clean, all equipment properly working 
  • Develops and implements safety policies and procedures for the department; maintains a safe working environment 
  • Works with the General Manager and Maintenance Manager on operational and Facility budget 
  • Identifies opportunities reduce cost and improve productivity 
  • Daily walks of the facility to ensure all grounds and buildings are clean and well organized. 
  • Other duties as required. 
To qualify as a Facility Manager, you'll need:
  • 5+ years of experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining facilities and equipment 
  • Proven experience as facilities supervisor or manager 
  • Ability to perform hands-on work 
  • Well-versed in technical operations and facilities management best practices 
  • Knowledge of basic financial principles 
  • Experience coordinating outside vendors to perform major repairs and annual inspections 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills 
  • Good analytical/critical thinking 
  • Degree in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field is preferred 
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFM) will be an advantage
