Description

Our Dispatchers are responsible for:  
  • Consistently review routes and make adjustments for efficiency
  • Maintain route productivity of spare use
  • Respond to customer inquiries such as vehicle location, ETA, and ride times in a timely manner and maintain a standard call answer rate
  • Schedule same-day changed transportation for customers, i.e. will-call service
  • Monitor emails and handle as appropriate
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Relay changes to carriers with updated manifests
  • Schedule all the unscheduled trips no less the one hour prior to scheduled windows
  • Complete all carrier transfers
  • Perform data entry for non MDC manifests, as needed
Essential job functions:  
  • Ability to proficiently operate a windows-based computer with keystroke speed of no less than 35 corrected words per minute.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in the English language.
  • Able to utilize a standard business telephone.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
