Assistant General Manager – Transit
 
NOTE: The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.

About the Position 
 Become a part of our Transdev team as an Assistant General Manager in Orlando, FL.  This position assists the General Manager in supervising daily operations. The Assistant General Manager monitors employee performance, identifies safety issues, and addresses operational needs. We hire individuals who make safety and customer service their top priorities. Responsibilities:
  • Monitors Operations for Compliance:
    • Supervise road operations and staff to ensure on-time, safe, and consistent performance in compliance with client contracts, CBA, and company standards.
    • Ensure shuttle drivers comply with all licenses, IDs, appearance, contact, schedule, and hygienic standards.
    • Regularly ride buses to perform driver ride checks, review safety procedures, and ensure equipment is in place.
    • Perform safety engagements and ensure operations run on schedule and meet requirements.
    • Track trip performance to ensure on-time performance, route adherence, and routine safety measures.
    • Regularly visit all parking lots and garages to ensure operational and safety compliance.
    • Anticipate and manage weather and crisis situations in coordination with the management team and weather/crisis plan.
  • Coaches Subordinates:
    • Counsel, coach, and supplement training for drivers, field operations supervisors, and dispatchers.
    • Perform daily ride checks and safety engagements.
    • Regularly inspect holding lots and all buses/vehicles to ensure proper parking, use of the Geotab tagging procedure, cleanliness, and vehicle shutdown when not in use.
Continually observe and correct employee uniform and certification requirements, including proper wearing 
 
Qualifications 
  • 3-5 years as an Operations Manager or Assistant General Manager role.  
  • 3 years of experience in airport shuttle service
  • Possess of the ability to obtain a FL CDL
  • Ability to perform the duties of the GM, Supervisor, Shuttle Driver, Dispatcher, and Administrative Staff.
  • Must be a self-starter able to obtain successful results without supervision.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2 years of transit supervisory or management experience preferred.
