About the Position 
Become part of our Transdev team as a Mobility Supervisor in Redding, CA. The Mobility Supervisor will use innovative approaches to managing and delivering coordinated transportation services to customers, including older adults, people with disabilities, and individuals with lower incomes. The supervisor will focus on meeting individual customer needs through various transportation options. The hourly range for this opportunity is $21.60 to $26.44.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote the enhancement and facilitation of access to transportation services, including integrating and coordinating transportation services for individuals with disabilities and older adults.
  • Short-range planning, management activities, and projects for improving coordination among public and private transportation service providers in the service area
  • Implement the actions of the Shasta County Coordinated Public Transit-Human Service Plan, which identifies the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities, older adults, and individuals with lower incomes and provides strategies for meeting those needs.
  • Facilitate and participate in regular meetings with public transportation providers and community stakeholders to identify unmet transportation needs.
  • Gather and analyze data to evaluate transportation service programs and options for elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities, and low-income individuals.
  • Research and pursue eligible grant opportunities, particularly those tailored to elderly and disabled transportation, and prepare Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310, Older American Act, and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications.
  • Lead community outreach, travel training, and education efforts through a variety of platforms, including in-person, written releases, and social media.
  • Manage RABA Vanpool, Bikeshare, Lyft/Uber Subsidy, and volunteer transportation programs.
  • Process ADA paratransit, disability discount card, and veterans' card applications
  • Perform marketing-related activities such as developing a marketing plan and printed materials, promoting transit services, developing press releases, and managing a website.
  • Performs other duties and activities as assigned.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or education related to an undergraduate degree in transportation, urban planning, business, public administration, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of verifiable experience in planning, public administration, accessible services, social work, public transit, or human services coordination
  • Knowledge of FTA requirements and the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and its application to public transportation is preferred.
  • A combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • Ability to obtain a valid driver's license unless reasonable accommodation has been made.
  

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe products
  • Leadership ability and engagement through regular public speaking
  • Highly analytical, intuitive, and problem-solving with the ability to develop implementation strategies and evaluate outcomes.
