Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager (Mechanic) to lead the maintenance and repair operations of our ferry fleet. The Maintenance Manager will ensure the fleet operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role includes managing a team of technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This position is in Boston, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities for the ferry fleet, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Supervise a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify and address mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to optimize maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve maintenance goals.

- The salary range for this opportunity is $150,000 - $200,000.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a maritime or ferry operation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
