Bus Attendants will be responsible for:
- Greets all passengers in the loading areas in a courteous and enthusiastic manner.
- Keeps complete focus on their area and other monitors other team member’s activities and
communicates effectively instructions as they become available. - Keeps the loading areas clear of all items that could pose a safety danger to the staff or passengers and
reports to their supervisor immediately. - Notifies road supervisors/management of deviations, overloads, accidents, passenger incidents,
medical/behavioral problems. - Works in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management.
Qualifications
- Good verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Early morning availability
- Judgement/problem solving skills
- Ability to manage high degrees of stress
- Must have excellent communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be available to work shifts that can start at any hour (24 hours) and on any day.
- Must read and understand bus rotation and customer service plan and maps.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to stand outdoors in widely varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
