Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ferry General Manager to oversee our ferry operations in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of ferry services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
- Lead and motivate a team of maritime professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, to support and expand ferry services.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, implementing improvements as needed.

- The salary range for this opportunity is $150,000-$200,000.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ferry or maritime operations management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven record of managing budgets and financial performance.
- Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws
- Thorough knowledge of ordinances and regulations underlying the transit operation
- Requires 3-5 years of recent and relevant direct experience managing all aspects of a Ferry service.
- Prior experience working with collective bargaining agreement.
- Thorough knowledge of the methods of operation of the transit system’s staff and operational departments
- Ability to build solid and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
- Ability to manage cost control and financial budget.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of technology, apps, Wi-Fi, and understanding of transportation technology
- Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to detail.
