Scheduler Call Taker
Description
Major Responsibilities:
- Schedules all trips in accordance with client contract and CBA
- Monitors pre and post day service performance
- Use Trapeze software package to create routes
- Performs auto-batching, manual batching, and hand placing of rides to ensure all trips are covered
- Use various operations and Trapeze reports to proactively address any service concerns
- Use knowledge of the Twin Cities service area to create optimized polygon routes to increase efficiency
- Liaisons between drivers, client and organization
- Communicates job requirements and responsibilities to drivers
- Maintains an appropriate level of standing order trips with appropriate pickup and drop off times
- Communicates with clients to setup, modify, or remove standing orders
- Creates daily driver schedules to meet operational needs
- Evaluates trip counts and posts sign-up sheets as needed
- Other operational duties as assigned
- Direct daily movement of drivers by oversight of all routes
- Monitor call flow reports and operational KPIs and reallocate daily efforts to meet goals
- Covers CSR and Dispatch tasks as necessary
- Other duties as needed by the operation
Experience and Skills Required:
- Proven dependability and attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of the Twin Cities metropolitan area
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks
- Knowledge of paratransit route operations
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Email
- Experience with dispatching drivers on routes, preferred
- Working knowledge of dispatched software packages preferred, especially Trapeze
- Familiar with basic vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials and general public; fluent in English and ability to legibly write reports
- Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Your work shift flexibility will include working weekends, evenings, and holidays
