Overview:
The Operation Analyst/Supervisor will be responsible for database management and data analysis of all required reports and information needed to meet contract requirements. This position will also oversee road service through communication with Operators and provide customer support to passengers. We are looking for an experienced and qualified operational professional with a strong background in data analytics.

Responsibilities
- Using features of the scheduling software, VDS, or similar, to create reports as needed
- Create, test, and validate reports to ensure their continued smooth functioning
- Gather, maintain, and develop daily, weekly performance dashboards (weighted scorecards, metrics tracking) & analytics
- Managing multiple databases which includes data entry, data editing and data analysis
- Creating daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Acquiring data from secondary data sources and creating and maintaining databases
- Perform root cause analytics to proactively identify issues and escalation for resolution, including performance analysis in all operational areas
- Working with the Assistant General Manager on the data collection of contract compliance requirements
- Supervises all vehicle operators to ensure proper scheduling of runs and efficient staffing of every route.
- Provides leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communication, appraisal, training, and coaching.
- Performs all vehicle operator safety evaluation ride checks, investigates and responds to situations, helps resolve operational issues and assists with transit passengers as necessary.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: (Preferred) Completed degree or working towards a degree in computer sciences, information management, transportation or logistics
- Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2 or more years of relevant leadership experience
- Commercial Driving License with passenger and airbrake endorsements
- Excellent communication skills with ability to read maps, interpret transit operating rules and policies.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and a drug test
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Experience and understanding of working in a database platform
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have advanced skills in the following programs.
- Excel – Creating and using Pivot tables, Macros, spreadsheet manipulation
- Access – Creating databases, writing queries, proficient in SQL
- Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; and smell.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
- 50% of the workday is spent outdoors monitoring service on routes, transit facilities, and company locations. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold and in a damp environment with moderate noise.
