Become a part of our Transdev team as an operations Manager in Savannah GA. This position works with the Asst General Manager and General Manager in supervising daily operations. In addition, the Operations Manager monitors employee performance, identifies safety issues, and addresses operational needs. Dispatcher responsibilities: 
  •  Oversees road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc. 
  • Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips. 
  • Manages emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services. 
  • Manages daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service
  • Actively monitors fleet tracking software.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • 2-year college degree or higher preferred.
  • Mus have a Driver's License valid in the United States
 
Experience Required:
  • 2-5 years of experience as a dispatcher or similar role.
 
Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 software.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new software programs.
  • Must demonstrate ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, confidentiality and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
 
Skills and Knowledge Preferred:
  • Knowledge of Passio Navigator.
  • Knowledge of university transit systems.
 
Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Must successfully pass drug testing, criminal background check, and other background checks.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Up to 60% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or ventilated facilities.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, and looking at a computer screen.
  • Must be able to compose reports in a coherent and legible way.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and shifts regularly as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to:
    • Use full range of hearing, speech, and vision.
    • Use fingers (manual dexterity) handling paperwork and typing.
    • Stoop, crouch, squat, or kneel when performing inspections of any type.
    • Bend at knee, hip, waist when performing duties.
    • Lift and carry 50 lbs.
    • Climb stairs regularly.
    • Stand for prolonged periods of time.
    • Be subject to wet, cold, or hot outdoor environmental conditions.
  • Travel requirement (as a percent) <5%
