Operations and Maintenance Director
NOTE: The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.

Job Overview
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for transportation and maintenance? Transdev is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Director to oversee our operations and maintenance teams. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient transit services. You will be responsible for employee oversight, contract asset management, risk management, client and customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This position is based in Seattle, WA with a competitive salary range of $80,000-$120,000.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage operations and maintenance teams to achieve corporate safety goals, service performance, and financial objectives.
  • Oversee bus maintenance programs to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operational efficiencies and maintenance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and Transdev corporate safety standards.
  • Manage budget and financial performance, optimizing the return on assets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, clients, union partners, and the community.
  • Identify and develop business growth opportunities.
  • Provide training and development for staff in liaison with the corporate team.
  • Ensure effective environmental compliance and sustainability management.
  • Compile, analyze, and report data accurately.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a management role within the transportation industry, including bus maintenance.
  • Proven ability to manage a large team and complex operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and transit regulations.
  • Experience with labor relations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation technology.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with union partners and manage labor grievances and negotiations.
