About the Role: The Human Resources Coordinator will perform a variety of administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s corporate human resources department. Key Responsibilities: - Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation for both on-site and long term storage
- Performs periodic and annual audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected, filed, and stored appropriately
- Processes department mail and/or forwards to applicable party
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance in timely manner
- Point of contact for Corporate and Business HR communication
- Processes and tracks incoming subpoenas/legal claims; provides filing and related demographic data to legal department; responds to related records requests in timely manner
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as employee recognition events, holiday parties, and employee celebrations
- Provides clerical support to Corporate HR team
- Maintains confidentiality of all information
- Assists with day to day HR operations
- Serves as back up to HR Generalist
- Other duties as required.
Growth Responsibilities: - Responsible for setting up users with HR vendors
- Enters new hire data and employee life cycle changes into the HRIS and time tracking system, assists in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
- Reviews and reconciles HR invoices and tuition reimbursement requests and remit for approval
- Maintain and update all required forms dealing with but not limited to employment & wage verifications, unemployment claims, WOTC and subpoenas
- Travel to locations to assist with start up or shut down processes.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required. Education Preferred: College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources or related business field preferred Experience: Field and years of experience required: 1 year of relevant experience Experience preferred: 1 to 2 years of experience in human resources preferred ADP (Enterprise) experience preferred Skills and Knowledge Required: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform work efficiently.
Skills and Knowledge Preferred: - Knowledge of basic human resource practices, including human resource compliance and regulatory environment.
Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent) < 5% Pre-Employment Requirements: Drug testing and background check Testing related to job requirements Physical Requirements: - Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
