Dispatchers needed in Lansing, MI.
Transdev is actively seeking transportation dispatchers for their paratransit service. We are looking for qualified dispatchers who can provide excellent customer service to both our drivers and passengers.

Responsibilities:
- Assigns transportation services. This includes runs, vehicles, and standbys in the event of absent operators, increased service volume, or in order to minimize service disruptions as a result of traffic or vehicle malfunction, operator problems and/or emergency situations.
- Maintains logs and daily check-ins and outs for operators.
- Maintains two-way radio communication providing information on customers, cancellations, and directional assistance when necessary.
- Monitors operators and trip statuses making adjustments as necessary to ensure on time performance.
- Maintains scheduling and performance data.
- Documents accurately and appropriately daily events related to service.
- Communicates effectively with operations staff regarding schedules and passenger issues.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Follows procedures regarding accidents, injuries, and safety issues.
- Create an atmosphere of professionalism & mutual support among employees.
- Must be able to handle multiple situations at once
- Other duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient operations of the department.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old (for insurance purposes ONLY).
- Must have a valid driver's license for the state of MI and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and a DOT physical.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Years of qualified job history can be substituted.
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situations and listen to feedback.
- A customer service mentality with attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Must be well organized.
- Must have computer skills.
- Data entry skills preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Ability to learn 10-codes and maintain proper radio etiquette.
- Knowledge of Transdev Policy and Procedures preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
- Majority of work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- May be asked to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
