Compensation
Transit Railcar Technology Specialist Intern (Rep.) (TA): $68,709.00
Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for supporting the new R262 Car Contract. The selected candidate(s) will assist with supporting the development and preparation of technical specifications, supporting review of technical documentations (i.e., schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams, test procedures; test reports) and assist with researching new and cutting-edge technology in heavy railcar engineering. This position will assist with project management administrative support as needed and help assist in the development of contractual terms and conditions.
Education and Experience
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major sequence of courses in electrical, mechanical, civil, transportation, transportation, aerospace or computer engineering, electrical/electronic technology, computer science, cyber security, or related degree.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply basic engineering principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and in using various measurement tools & techniques.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to read technical drawings and documentation.
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
