Summary

 

The Manager, Commissioning will lead MTA Construction and Development's efforts to implement and oversee commissioning for a significant component of the MTA Capital Program within the Delivery Department. 

 

Responsible for overseeing and ensuring effective and efficient qualitative products on systems commissioning and testing functions to support complex capital projects.

 

Responsibilities

Oversees a smaller commissioning team.

 

Provides direction in evaluating facilities, signal and telecommunication systems, and/or infrastructure systems. 

 

Accountable for the application of the commissioning process and achievement of project performance requirements, as identified during the early stages of a project's lifecycle, along with the verification/documentation of those requirements through final design and construction.

 

Assists Project Leadership in resolving escalated items from design/construction parties.

 

Responsible for the formalized handover of the asset(s) to the Agency Owner and required training.

 

Education and Experience

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Facilities Management, Transportation, or a related field. 

 

Must have a minimum of six (6) years of related experience.

Must possess excellent team-building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

 

Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).
