Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance operation for all Automated Fare Collection (AFC) equipment, including OMNY, located within an assigned area covering the five boroughs. 

 Responsibility:

The incumbent will ensure that all referenced equipment and systems meet operational requirements for availability and reliability. Key duties include prioritizing and supervising the performance of Level 1 Maintenance Supervisors and hourly staff, performing field audits, conducting on-the-job training, analyzing equipment performance, ensuring workforce safety, and coordinating with both internal and external customers. Additional responsibilities include reviewing disciplinary actions and grievances as necessary.
 

Compensation:

Maintenance Supervisor (Revenue) II Salary Range:

1st Year          $112,448

2nd Year          $114,057

3rd Year           $118,067


Education and Experience:

Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in a surface transportation department of a major bus fleet or in railroad transportation engaged in the repair and maintenance of fare boxes or turnstiles and related electromechanical equipment and/or computers; at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Desired Skills

  • A thorough knowledge of electro-mechanical and electronic equipment is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is also necessary.

License Requirement:
A Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the State of New York with no restrictions which would preclude the performance of Maintenance Supervisor (Revenue) work. This license must be maintained for the duration of employment.
