RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate and maintain bench test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, protocol analyzers, network analyzers, RF/communications testing tools, and related instrumentation.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis of electronic systems, components, and hardware.
  • Analyze analog and digital circuits, including power distribution systems, audio transmission and control systems, and digital/analog conversion processes.
  • Read, interpret, and develop circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Create, update, and redline test procedures, technical documentation, and system configurations.
  • Conduct testing and validation activities using automated electronic test equipment, including National Instruments platforms (LabVIEW, TestStand).
  • Utilize Linux-based systems for testing, configuration, and troubleshooting, including command line operations, file management, and process monitoring.
  • Develop and modify scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar) to support testing, automation, and data collection activities.
  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and document findings with a high level of accuracy and detail.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to support system performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and prioritize testing activities to meet project deadlines and operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards, procedures, and system configuration/change management practices.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Senior Quality Control Specialist I-III
1. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university and six years of full-time paid professional experience in quality control including the application of probability and statistics; statistical quality control; experiment design; planning; basic reliability concepts; quality data collection; quality auditing; and/or systems development with quality control programs; or
 
2. At least 60 credits from an accredited college or university or technical school with specialization in engineering technology or a related field and eight years of the experience described in “1” above; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent. However, all candidates must have at least 60 credits from an accredited college, university or technical school with specialization in engineering technology or a related field. 
 
DESIRED SKILLS: 
  • Comprehensive reading and writing skills and understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic components and hardware.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex electronic system issues.
  • Proficiency in operating advanced electronic test equipment and automated testing platforms.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, including command line usage and basic system administration.
  • Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation and testing.
  • Working knowledge of National Instruments tools such as LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and develop schematics, circuit designs, and technical documentation.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in testing and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, including scheduling and prioritization.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ETA, IPC, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
