Position Title: Program Management and Oversight, Emerging Talent Intern (Summer)
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate), $21.00 (Graduate student)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
The Division of Capital Programs is responsible for ensuring all aspects of project planning and execution of all capital improvements sponsored by the various divisions in Subways, as well as external partner projects, lead to high quality projects for the Department of Subways to operate and maintain. We support the execution of each 5-year Capital Improvement Plan by providing centralized services to our stakeholders - services include, but are not limited to, project oversight and support, fiscal and budget management, estimating, planning, and reporting.
The intern will collaborate with cross functional teams in the Department of Subways Capital Programs: Construction & Development (C&D) Transit Project Delivery, Stations, Facilities and Maintenance of Way (MOW) Engineering. Assist project managers by coordinating deliverables, updating schedules, and contributing to the overall progress of key initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist project managers by coordinating deliverables, updating schedules, and contributing to the overall progress of key initiatives.
- Collect data from internal databases, the Capital Project Report System (PSR), and other external sources.
- Support the development and tracking of reports, dashboards, charts, and baseline documentation for project monitoring and approval.
- Maintain, organize, and update databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Attend meetings and prepare clear, concise summaries as needed.
- Deliver briefings to Management Staff on assigned tasks and project updates.

1 - Operation Unconstrained 2025-2029 (handling missing values)
2 - In-House Baseline Development and Training
3 - FABU Tracker / Follow up Optimization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills.
- Excellent quantitative analytical skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least a 2.5 GPA or a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
- Major(s) Preferred: Project Management, Technology, Business, or related fields, or a related field.
