Summary
Entry-level environmental position (for non-engineers) for those with a bachelor's degree.
Specialist Level 1 supports Project Management for permitting/design and construction projects/programs.
Responsibilities
Involved with supporting survey field efforts by working with technical leads to identify needs for survey crews.
Ensures the team has tracked necessary equipment, reviewed and logged calibration requirements, and confirmed crews have safety plans and files daily logs.
Coordinates and attends meetings and assists in developing a tracking system to manage assignments.
Assists in preparing portions of reports and permit documents.
Works with GIS support to communicate any updates.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's in Environmental Science/Environmental Technology/Environmental Management /Archaeology /Anthropology /Biology /Wildlife or an equivalent subject.
Master's preferred.
Various disciplines may be (but are not limited to) historic preservation and culture, as well as environmental resources, asbestos, lead, and hazardous materials.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
Competencies:
Intern experience is a plus.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Analytical ability, pro-active attitude, willingness to learn, and an ability to think "outside the box" when required.
