Location: 130 Livingston St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 
Position Title: Service Delivery Instructional Design, Emerging Talent Intern 
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate), $21.00 (Graduate) 
  
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location. 
  
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT: 
Operations Training provides numerous training programs (approximately 350 individual courses) focusing on safety, security, induction of new hires and promotions, conventional and new equipment, title-specific knowledge, and skill refreshers. 
  
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Conduct needs assessments and create products based on identified needs 
  • Work with subject matter experts to collect relevant knowledge and information to complete projects 
  • Check in with unit managers regularly for changes or updates to curriculum. Write and edit an array of word documents and spreadsheets 
  • Update class schedules and instructor schedules based on new curriculum. Use eLearning software and PowerPoint to create engaging learning materials 
  • Proofread and provide feedback on peer’s work 
  • Collaborate with MTA employees in many different roles in person and virtually. 
  
PROJECTS: 
  • Build knowledge standards and frameworks for several service delivery positions (conductor, train operator, tower operator). 
  • Write course outlines, curricula, and lesson plans that align with the pre-determined knowledge frameworks. 
  • Create digital learning experiences (quizzes, interactives, etc.) that align with the knowledge frameworks and support the curriculum. 
  
  
 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must. 
  • The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.  
  • The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player. 
  • Experience in Education or Training Classes/Roles is a plus. 
  
REQUIRED EDUCATION: 
  • Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA 
  • Major(s) Preferred: Instructional Design & Technology, Educational Technology, Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
