Job summary: Leads and supports maintenance supervisors, ensuring safe and efficient facility operations. Coordinates work assignments, oversees contractors, manages resources, and provides guidance on staffing and policy compliance. Prepares reports and analyzes data to support smooth and effective operations.
 
Responsibilities:
This position will supervise a group of subordinate supervisors across structure group specialties responsible for the maintenance, installation, inspection, testing, alteration, and repair of Facility Operations assets.
The selected candidate will ensure a safe environment for both employees and the building occupants; provide oversight and coordination of outside vendor contractors performing work within the OCC as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, operational protocols, and departmental procedures. Effectively coordinates, delegates, and communicates work assignments, providing field support during emergencies as required.
Provides guidance to Maintenance Supervisors on written reports, training, discipline, counseling, and the enforcement of all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Reviews stock availability against usage reports and anticipated needs, responsible for budget resource allocation and material procurement. Compiles and analyzes records, conducts investigations, and prepares reports. Performs other related duties as assigned.

1st Step – Entrance    $110,381        
2nd Year                      $111,951        
3rd Year                      $115,888   
 
 
Education and Experience:
Five years of full-time satisfactory experience with a major railroad or transit authority; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.         
Desired Skills:         
  • Proficient in the use of EAM.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively direct, mentor, and evaluate subordinate supervisors and staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Facility Operations systems, safety standards, rules, regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and oversee outside vendor contractors, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, safety protocols, and operational policies.
  • Effective decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, analyze records, and provide clear guidance on training, discipline, and performance expectations.
