COMPENSATION
Salary Range: Min. $90,590 - Max. $128,239, Grade E
UTLO Rate: $142,650
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 The incumbent selected will manage and direct the complex operations of satellite storerooms and power cable systems supporting Agency’s maintenance departments. Control the operations involved with the receipt, storage, issuance and redistribution of components, parts and materials. Accountable for managing activities of hourly and supervisory employees’ day-to-day operations and resources. Manages cable sections compliances of maintenances, inspections, testing, repair, and replacement of NYCT’s electrical power cable systems. These functions include cable fault locating, replacement and splicing of high and low voltage cables, multi-conductor cables and fiber optic cables, securing of manholes, and emergency responses. Responsible for overseeing material handling, asset management, Enterprise Asset Management, and supply logistics. Familiarity with NYCT budget practices; material procurement procedures, universal requisitions, and cost estimating.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Telecommunications or a related field of study is preferred and five (5) years’ experience, of which three (3) must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity. 
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Knowledge of Rapid Transit Operations, with respect to cable removal and installations, maintenance and inspections of NYCT Power Cable assets.
• Experience with Storerooms, material handling, multi-million-dollar inventory tracking, and supply logistics.
• Familiarity with Department of Subways divisions, safety rules, labor contracts and engineering.
• Experience with capital projects involving major repair and renewal contracts.
• EAM maintenance, troubles, and material tracking.
