Salary Range: $134,183 - $184,013 (Exec/1040 hay points)
Compression Rate - $178,288
 
Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the management of all maintenance, transportation, administrative and operational activities at a specific depot or division's road operations within NYC Transit or MTA Bus. Provides daily revenue service which meets or exceeds quality control standards for safety, cleanliness and reliable performance. Directs policy and procedural compliance for the depot's maintenance and transportation operations or for the division's road operations. Directs the effective management of approximately 900 employees and monitors all depot expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary requirements. Directs and manages labor relations activities as well as safety and facility operations for the depot or division's road operations. Ensures effective operations 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
 
Additional Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Direct, manage, monitor, and evaluate the performance of all Maintenance, Transportation, Administration and co-dependent operational activities to ensure safe, reliable, and clean buses are provided for service. May be assigned to division's road operation.
  • Direct the industrial and labor relations activities at the Maintenance and Transportation Depot level or for division's road operation. Assist in the development of borough-wide maintenance and transportation objectives for labor negotiations. Direct the uniform application of all administrative policies and procedures within the depot.
  • Direct policy and procedural compliance for the depot's maintenance and transportation operations or for the division's road operation and ensure the uniform implementation of executive direction. Ensure coordinated operation and maintain standards. Participate in the development of executive policy for the borough.
  • Assist in the management of the operational implementation of capital and operating based depot repair/rehab programs. Identify, prioritize, and assist construction forces in depot repair and modernization of employee and operating facility activities. Ensure coordination of efforts and minimal levels of disruption to operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the borough's annual operating plan for maintenance and the delivery of transportation services and the attainment of borough goals. Assist the General Manager in developing short-term and long-range strategic plans and objectives
Education and Experience
 
1. Twelve (12) years of related experience including a minimum of eight (8) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
2. A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience requirements.
