Position Title: Service Delivery Data, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate), $21.00 (Graduate)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
Operations Training provides numerous training programs (approximately 350 individual courses) focusing on safety, security, induction of new hires and promotions, conventional and new equipment, title-specific knowledge, and skill refreshers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct needs assessments and create products based on identified needs
- Work with subject matter experts to collect relevant knowledge and information to complete projects
- Write and edit an array of word documents and spreadsheets
- Sort through current data and records for Operations Training to create updated data collection methods
- Design new data collection processes and formats. Input data as it is generated in classes across the department. Check for accuracy in data outputs and correct/improve as necessary.
- Proofread and provide feedback on peer’s work
- Collaborate with MTA employees in many different roles in person and virtually.
PROJECTS:
- Create and optimize data dashboards for all five units within Service Delivery training.
- Create templates for annual, bi-annual, and quarterly reports that summarize the outcomes for each unit and for the department as a whole.
- Create process/methods for ongoing data collection and retention that are efficient, helping us to move out of paper- and scan-based records.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
- Experience in Education or Training Classes/Roles is a plus.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
- Major(s) Preferred: Data Science, Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Organizational Sciences or related field.
