UTLO compression rate: $128.005.00
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will serve as the EMD/ Telecomm Incident Desk Coordinator for various tours. Duties will include supervising Command Center Operations’ Level II Maintenance supervisors, Level I Maintenance Supervisors, Telephone Maintainers and Professional Technical Support staff; ensuring prompt and proper emergency response; interfacing and coordination with other departments as necessary, vendors and escalation of service interrupting issues.  In addition, other duties include processing and distribution of incidents, accident and other reports and updates as necessary.  The selected candidate will be required to work off tour and operate from either of the EMD Command Centers located at the RCC and 130 Livingston as necessary and/or directed by management.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in computer science, communications or a related field of study, and 5 years of full-time relate experience; of which 3 years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; Or 
A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills 
  • Strong knowledge of NYCT Rules and Regulations, Operations and Safety Practices and Procedures, TWU and SSA union contracts. 
  • Strong background in data communication, PBX, fiber optic network technologies and network management systems. 
  • Experience managing, leading, operations management, inventory control, client relations, reporting and technical leadership in a command center operation environment. 
  • 24/7 On-call Operations Support. 
  • Ability to cover shift gaps as necessary. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in utilizing a desktop PC and applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
