Summary
The Quality Specialist Level 2 is responsible for conducting comprehensive quality audits and assessments across all phases of Design, Construction, and Quality processes and projects. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring adherence to MTA C&D's quality standards. The Quality Specialist Level 2 develops, reviews, and maintains detailed Quality documentation, policies, and procedures to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to foster a culture of quality and drive the successful implementation of MTA C&D's quality requirements.
Responsibilities
Conducts thorough audits and assessments of C&D Business Units, processes, and projects, including oversight of contractor and consultant quality activities at various field sites and project offices.
Supports ISO 9001 registration and compliance efforts by coordinating and actively participating in ISO audits and assessments.
Prepares comprehensive audit and assessment reports, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations to management and C&D stakeholders.
Collaborates with C&D Corporate Quality personnel to identify, develop, and implement improvements in C&D processes, requirements, and activities, enhancing the effectiveness of audits and assessments.
Partners with subject matter experts to develop, update, and maintain quality-related documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and other essential materials.
Assists Business Units by reviewing quality submittals and supporting additional quality-related activities to maintain high standards across projects.
Contributes to the delivery of training and awareness initiatives to promote understanding and consistent application of documented quality processes throughout the organization.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Transportation, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
Competencies:
Knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and best practices, with an understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer and business applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software, with demonstrated skill in preparing professional presentations, reports, and correspondence.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
