COMPENSATION
Salary Range: Min. $126,028 - $157,535
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
This position will be responsible for oversight of various CBTC global maintenance contracts and other technology related maintenance contracts that span multiple Department of Subways (DOS) operating divisions. With the accelerated growth of the CBTC program and the current rate of roll out of CBTC systems in varying stages at multiple NYCT subways lines, this position will be critical in coordinating with C&D and leading DOS operating divisions in preparing for management of the ever-growing maintenance support contracts and ensuring that critical initiatives and deliverables are fulfilled. This position will also be responsible for liaising with C&D and DOS operating divisions to ensure that systems reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) requirements are fulfilled beginning from the system implementation stage and extending throughout the lifecycle of the system to ensure overall optimal performance. This position will provide project management support from a business perspective representing DOS as a whole and act as the lead point to collaborate with DOS divisions and MTA IT on various matters, including task orders for system enhancements and other initiatives that span across the operating divisions. The selected candidate will also:
Act as the central point and be responsible for coordination of various maintenance and contractual activities requiring input from multiple DOS operating divisions, MTA IT, contractors, and other MTA divisions. Manage contract-related project timelines, risks, mitigations, dependencies, and deliverables. Coordinate across numerous projects and stakeholders, identifying dependencies and/or impacts to DOS divisions and other MTA divisions, and ensure that the dependencies and/or impacts are appropriately communicated and that all stakeholders’ needs are addressed.
Act as the lead point in coordinating assessments of critical contractual deliverables such as equipment obsolescence and life cycle reporting provided by contractors. Collaborate with DOS divisions, MTA IT and the contractors to identify and select the most suitable solutions to remedy all issues that can negatively affect service or the reliability and availability of the affected systems.
Act as the watcher of multiple contracts covering various projects with an eye on short- and long-term challenges and goals. Identify contractual issues and work with the various operating divisions to resolve or mitigate those issues. Maintain a record of the issues and steps taken to arrive at the appropriate solutions. Ensure that identified solutions along with any other alternative ways to improve the maintenance contracts are incorporated in subsequent renewal contracts
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in public administration, economics, computer science, project management, or engineering. Eight (8) years of related experience and five (5) years must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity, or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience

  • Proven skills in effectively providing oversight on multiple intersecting projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
