Position Title: Managed Print Services, Tech & Engineering Fellow (Summer)
Hourly Rate: $21.00 (Undergraduate)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
The Managed Print Services team is responsible for implementation and oversight of the MTA’s managed print services solution, providing technical assistance and logistics coordination for printers and scanners deployed across all agencies. The IT Fellow will support the MPS program team in assessing printer usage reports, reconciling printer configuration data between Service Now and the vendor portals, e.g. HP, and providing logistical support for printer consumables. This fellowship begins in Summer 2026, candidates should be ready to commit minimum of 12‑months in the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze usage data in Excel and/or Power Bi.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve and maintain printer configuration data in Service Now and vendor portals.
- Understanding managed print services and responsible printing strategies within an enterprise.
- Reconcile printer configuration data in Service Now and vendor portals.
- Analyze printer usage reports and identify underutilized printers.
- Support end-users through logistical support for printer consumable orders.
- Identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements.
- Other related duties as assigned
PROJECTS:
1. Analyze device utilization reports to identify underutilized printers that can be redeployed to areas of higher need.
2. Monitor accuracy of printer configuration data between Service Now and HP vendor portal through use of Excel spreadsheets and Power Bi dashboards and report discrepancies to manager and team.
3. Logistical support for printer consumables and follow up with vendors & clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
- Entry Level experience providing IT client/technical support
- Entry level experience with Power BI preferred but not required
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Preferred Majors: Computer Information Systems , Computer Information Science, Computer Information Technology , Computer Science
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA
