Position Overview:
Mercury Patient Engagement is a revolutionary product that moves beyond a traditional healthcare CRM to help hospital marketers maximize marketing effectiveness and drive consumer engagement across their enterprise. By combining over 15 years of experience as a leader in the healthcare CRM sector with world-class data technologies, industry-proven data science capabilities, native digital marketing approaches, and comprehensive reporting and analytics, hospital marketers can meet patients and non-patients where they are in their journey to find and receive care.
This is an opportunity to work on a cutting-edge SaaS product, designed from scratch, running on AWS, and using the latest technology stacks. You will split your time between tech lead activities, architecture, and hands-on development in this role. What You Will Do:
- Work alongside a team of engineers, providing technology leadership to create products that will directly affect the mission of Mercury Healthcare.
- Develop full-stack features and build reusable code libraries for future use.
- Solve complex software development problems and have ownership over specific functionality within our suite of products.
- Removing roadblocks to development through teamwork, communication, and creative solution recommendations
- Recommend and drive development best practices and continuous integration and delivery (CI-CD) as part of a progressive, agile organization.
- Commit code, perform code reviews, drive testing best practices, and assist with configuration and release management.
- Gather requirements through direct interaction with the business/product stakeholders.
What You Will Bring:
- 7+ years of full-stack web development experience
- 3+ years in AWS Cloud and related certification
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Angular, CSS3, Bootstrap, and Responsive Layouts
- Experience with Node.JS, Python, SQL, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, and web pack
- Previous experience in a senior, lead, or mentor role
- Strong Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Previous experience with microservices architecture and API gateways, NGINX is a plus.
- Knowledge (and experience) in designing and building distributed systems for scalability and security
- Experience authoring reference architectures and other engineering documentation
- Experience implementing security standards
- Knowledge of TDD, automated testing principles, and testing best practices
- Ability to setup CI/CD and other process automation, including familiarity with Jenkins/Git
- Being an advocate for what is best for Mercury Healthcare and our customers - you state your opinions candidly and collaboratively.
- A drive towards self-learning of new technologies, techniques, and methods
- Test-and-learn mentality – you pivot quickly when an approach is not successful
- Keen attention to detail, eye for design, and understanding of the value of collaboration with UX/creative and product teams
- Familiarity with any marketing technologies such as Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
