General Description:

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a profound understanding of digital/web data analytics, particularly in the realm of paid media and advertising platforms. The core responsibilities of this role center around orchestrating paid media campaigns to drive data-driven decisions and optimization opportunities. The candidate will actively engage with Google Ad Manager and Google Analytics, utilizing metrics to identify areas for growth and enhancement. Staying current with the ever-evolving ad-tech landscape is a key aspect of this role. Collaboration is essential, as the candidate will work closely with the sales team, WebMD AdOps, and the editorial team.

In addition to coordinating paid media campaigns, the position entails providing continuous support to clients, furnishing monthly reports, and facilitating campaign execution to ensure that client objectives are met. Furthermore, the role may involve assisting with various other digital and editorial projects as required.

Responsibilities:

Campaign Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the sales team and AdOps team to coordinate digital display campaigns.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain assets and tags for campaigns.
  • Traffic display materials and ad tags from clients to the AdOps team.
  • Set up, optimize, and manage client display ad campaigns in Google Ad Manager.
  • Provide clients with monthly campaign screenshots for confirmation.

Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze campaign performance using tools such as Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, WhatCounts, Parse.ly, and Vimeo.
  • Identify, monitor, and explain variances in media performance outcomes.
  • Regularly track and monitor display ad serving pacing to ensure campaign fulfillment.
  • Proactively implement optimizations for each campaign to achieve contracted goals.
  • Track monthly reporting statistics of all programs, performing quarterly and bi-annual metric benchmarks and external program case studies.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Generate timely metrics reports for digital, email, and video campaigns.
  • Summarize campaign results and overall list performance, providing clear recommendations.
  • Flag performance issues to internal teams and collaborate on optimization strategies.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to discuss results and offer performance improvement suggestions.

Campaign Management:

  • Manage email campaigns, including coordination with internal and client teams.
  • Coordinate deployment of custom client emails using JIRA.
  • Liaise with clients for testing, editing, approval, and launch of email campaigns.
  • Communicate with clients for approval on eNewsletter ad placements and other digital projects.

Miscellaneous:

  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends and maintain expertise in analytical tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to optimize measurement strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Google Ads or Google Ads Manager
  • Web Analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) experience is required
  • Experience developing and managing reporting 
  • Proficient in organizing and visually presenting data through Excel, PPT, etc.
  • Passion for digital marketing and analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented while keeping sight of bigger picture/trends
  • Proactive problem-solver & intellectually curious
  • Able to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment; skilled in project management and cross-stakeholder communication, both written and verbal.
  • Agency/Health-care/pharmaceutical market preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and cross-functional members of the team
  • High energy and accountable with solid work ethic and a commitment to quality
