Position Description:

The Dedicated Well-being Program Coordinator (DWPC) position is a full-time onsite position that will work collaboratively with the designated client’s health promotion team to raise awareness of their Wellness Program and the WebMD products and services that enable it. 
 
The client has a need to fill a Program Coordinator position to work at multiple locations around Orange County to act as an extension of the client’s Wellness Program. The ideal candidate will be expected to plan, perform, and promote a variety of programs and activities that supports the wellbeing strategy. 

 

The schedule will be planned, with the appropriate goals set, alongside the designated client, within the implementation stage of onboard. The schedule will require travel around the Orange County area to meet scheduling needs in multiple client workplaces. The DWPC will work with and be a resource for the individual employer units in their health promotion activities. 
 
The DWPC is responsible for client satisfaction, retention and reference-ability.  S/he will act as customer advocates, as well a point of contact with senior Customer stakeholders to increase participant engagement and maximize value delivered through the WebMD relationship.  They can provide thought leadership and support program planning and impact assessment, as well as coordination and promotion of service.
 
DWPC’s proactively identify opportunities for service delivery enhancement and improvement.  As opportunities are identified, they work with other Client Services staff, Account and Product Management to improve processes, and develop new solutions.
 
The successful candidate will have a background in a health promotion and event planning with an emphasis on participant engagement and satisfaction in the employer’s wellness program.

In this role you will:
  • Interact with an array of audiences face to face on a variety of health topics  
  • Create a culture of well-being at the worksite level
  • Provide assessment of at-risk areas and provide referral to appropriate resources
  • Work with the appropriate departments to create and deliver specific health related materials to participants
  • Design and deliver engaging presentations that informs and motivates audiences
  • Coordinate the flow of health related information and materials from client vendors, including WebMD, and distribute to employer departments 
  • Distill complex information both orally and in written format
  • Develop health education programming, including but not limited to, classes, wellness activities, presentations, and events
  • Fulfill day-to-day deliverables of established programs with direction from the client and WebMD account team
  • Work collaboratively with fellow health promotion team members and client vendors, and be able to work effectively, independent of specific daily direction  
  • Coordinate meetings and other communications (internal and external)
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver onsite events and biometric screenings at various locations
  • Perform stress reduction and mindfulness activities at various locations
  • Work with the Engagement Advisor to coordinate the customization of WebMD’s standard communication vehicles, and when necessary, development of original materials
  • Develop, maintain, and manage multiple schedules necessary to support the successful execution of client health education programs
  • Collect and analyze data for ongoing program performance review and strategy support
  • Have an in depth knowledge of current WebMD Health Services product and service line for expansion
  • Exercise good judgment, integrity and discretion when assessing complex situations
  • Perform a full range of analytical duties including problem identification, information gathering, analysis, development of alternative resolutions, and final recommendations
  • Identify and support process improvement and service model design efforts
  • Support and act as backup for onsite Wellness Center staff
  • Other duties specific to the account as designed by the client or WebMD (In person health assessments, support fitness centers, etc.)


qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Four year degree preferred OR equivalent work experience. 
  • Professional Certification from National Wellness Institute (NWI), The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), or the equivalent certification will be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years Wellness Coordinating or similar client-facing experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years delivering healthcare information products and services required, especially consumer-facing interfaces and H&W administration
  • Minimum of 2 years event coordination experience
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple relationships with multiple client stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Business and technology services experience
  • Professional presence and technical credibility to interact with senior-level customer contacts
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel


preferred:

  • Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, or Yoga Instructor
  • 5 years Wellness Coordinating or similar client-facing experience preferred
  • 5 of more years of delivering healthcare information products and services, especially consumer-facing interfaces and H&W administration, preferred
