Platforms Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Management team to understand business needs and work with OEM vendor team to find hardware platforms that meet the requirements.
  • Drive co-validation efforts with OEM vendor Engineering and mechanical teams to come up with a robust HW platform solution.
  • Taking end-to-end ownership on platform delivery by adhering to devops model.
  • Create, execute and maintain well-structured test plans for NX Platform qualifications and new HW/SW technology features. 
  • Develop code for new SW features and automate test cases using Python to improve efficiency for NPI and regression coverage.
  • Champion of SW/HW bug triaging, debugging and working with internal dev teams to drive fixes and address the gap in product development and qualification.
  • Debug customer issues and help resolution in a timely manner.
  • Work on real time customer escalations and provide customer resolution over support calls. 
  • Work with cross functional teams including Product Management, Operations, to support new platform launches.
  • Work with support team on field issues to help sustain the product's life cycle.
  • Collaborate on projects across fast paced global teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of working  in HW/SW areas with design, validation and automation experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience at an Enterprise data center product or services company in a systems analysis or development position.
  • Solid understanding of x86 server platforms including one or more of the following areas: (SSD, NVMe, NICs, processors, RAM, storage controllers and server virtualization technologies).
  • Advanced knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Understanding of Agile SW QA release, Sprint planning and execution 
  • Solid experience with bug tracking and management system (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills is  a must. Must be a team player.
