The Opportunity

In this role you will help identify target market segments and key use-cases, research unmet customer needs, and drive a compelling strategy and roadmap to develop in-product capabilities, professional services offerings, and go-to-market systems/tools that help drive product usage and ultimately deliver a superior customer experience!
 
Product Management at Nutanix
 
This role would be a part of the Product Management team at Nutanix. The team is comprised of diverse and senior-level product managers who are responsible for driving the success and adoption of Nutanix products and services. They work closely with engineering teams to prioritize and manage product requirements, and collaborate with sales, marketing, enablement, and channel partners to ensure successful go-to-market strategies. The team operates in a fast-paced and innovative environment, constantly staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices to deliver superior customer experiences.
 
Your Role
  •  Lead, coach, and mentor a team of diverse and senior level product managers (PMs)
  • Help define OKRs that are aligned to company strategy, drive execution & deliver results
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and inform product and services decisions.
  • Develop a comprehensive vision, strategy, and roadmap for adoption related initiatives across products and services.
  • Work with key stakeholders including senior executives to gain shared vision on offering strategy, vision, and roadmap.
  • Guide and mentor, the PM team to prioritize and manage requirements and drive execution in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Build strategic partnerships with sales, marketing, enablement & channel partners to successfully drive business outcomes.
  • Analyze the business results and guide the team to develop, prune or change offerings based on the market feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Be a thought leader in the Hybrid Multi Management domain and stay up to date on the latest trends and industry best practices.
What You Will Bring
  • A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required. MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading and managing products teams.
  • Domain experience in hybrid cloud, enterprise infrastructure, data center transformation, IT operations and management and application delivery
  • Business acumen and ability to build business cases, communicate effectively and influence others
  • Experience in developing vision, strategy, roadmap, prioritizing requirements and managing complex initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Passion for building great products that customers love to use
About the Team
RV is a Senior Director of Product Management at Nutanix, where he leads a talented and diverse team responsible for Hybrid and Multicloud Management, Professional Services, and Product Adoption. Prior to Nutanix, RV had worked at various industry leading companies such as Intuit, Oracle and HPE, developing, launching, and growing market leading products. Committed to giving back, he dedicates part of his time teaching at SJSU. RV holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in Computer Science from the College of Engineering Guindy, India. In the spirit of being a lifelong learner, he has participated in executive programs at MIT and UC Berkeley. RV resides in the Bay Area and enjoys running, hiking, and biking.

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 177,600 and USD $ 355,200 per year.
 
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
