The Opportunity   

We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team in Germany. The Consultant will work in the Services organization to help clients establish architectural vision and direction. They will help clients design, deploy, and migrate complex applications as well as work with software developers, consultants, and engineers to create scalable and repeatable solutions for partners.
  
 
Professional Services at Nutanix
The Nutanix Professional Services team delivers a strong influence on the success of each Nutanix implementation by its customers. The Services function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, the Professional Services team, working with our partners, ensures customer success in fully implementing their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Nutanix Professional Services Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration, and automation services as well as project management.

Your Role  
  • You will be responsible for leading workshops and consulting engagements with customers
  • You will conduct pre-packaged Nutanix consulting solutions in a timely and effective manner
  • You will take ownership of business outcomes of virtualization & automation projects through requirements capture and technical governance
  • You will craft detailed design documents and perform hands-on implementation work
  • You will work with our project managers on the project budget and all aspects of efficient delivery
  • You will provide technical input and review our projects in a pre-sales stage
  • You will advise and consult internal groups by providing accurate effort estimations
  • You can display commercial awareness by identifying future services opportunity within a project or customer
  • You actively drive practice activities such as the development of standard methodologies, intellectual property capture and creation, quality assurance, and peer reviews
  • You maintain current knowledge of the entire Nutanix product stack.
What You Will Bring  
  • Sound understanding of Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) concepts and implementations.
  • Virtualization technology proficiency – VMware / Nutanix will be preferred.
  • Experience in designing up to medium complexity solutions with hybrid or private cloud architecture.
  • At least three years of actively delivering IT automation / scripted infrastructure projects based on Industry top technologies. 
  • Experience with coding in Python and addressing REST APIs with the requests module.
  • Experience with PowerShell and Bash scripting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes . 
  • Knowledge of modern software development methodologies such as DevOps, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean. 
  • Capable of assisting and augmenting Architects on larger engagements.
  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • An active listener with excellent communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to read complex customer situations and adapt as needed. 
  • Solid understanding of (REST-) APIs and their integration in heterogeneous landscapes 
  • Deep understanding of deployment, management and administration of Industry top IT Automation and Orchestration tools 
  • Cross Operating System knowledge, getting at least administrator experience in Linux world 
  • Exposure to Continuous Development Tools such as Jenkins 
  • Exposure to configuration management systems such as Ansible 
  • Familiarity with source control tools like Git  
  • Fluent German language skills

Meet the hiring manager - Dwayne Holmes  
Dwayne boasts three decades of IT expertise across the Vendor, Banking, and Service Provider sectors, encompassing various senior technical and managerial positions. He joined Nutanix in 2015 as the first professional services employee in the Middle East and has since cultivated a world-class team in the region.   
Having relocated to the Netherlands, Dwayne now serves as the Services Delivery Leader at Nutanix, overseeing operations for the UK&I, NEUR, CEUR, and SSA sub-regions, ensuring the seamless delivery of services.   
In this hybrid role, he collaborates with diverse teams to drive efficiency and excellence in service delivery.

All team members have the liberty to choose their work location. Some prefer remote work, while others like to work from the office, and from time to time the whole group meets in person. Everyone has a lot of autonomy in their everyday work, but also we strive to stay connected and provide help to each other whenever needed.  We also have weekly Nutanix lunch days that are a great opportunity to connect in person with the team and other colleagues.
