Member of Technical Staff - Platforms Engineering (OEM)
- Work closely with OEM partners to introduce new products and components to market
- Develop software components to enable qualification of new platforms
- Provide technical guidance to OEM partners through product certification phase
- Troubleshoot issues encountered during certification and provide resolutions
- Work with Support Teams during field escalations, reproduce issues and work with internal teams for resolutions
- Work with Sustaining Engineering teams on qualification of various Nutanix software products on OEM hardware
- Implement and deploy hardware imaging processes at partner’s factories
- Provide technical advice to Program Managers and Management
- Maintain OEM hardware inventory and ensure platforms are kept upgraded
- Help develop better processes for development and debug, and maintain documentation for the same
- Maintain database for OEM partners’ platforms and components
- Conduct training programs for partners and internal teams
- Continually learn about new Nutanix software features and assess impact to OEMs’ hardware platforms
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or a related field
- 2 - 6 years of strong programming experience
- Proficiency in Python, C or similar languages
- Knowledge of Linux/UNIX including internals
- Systems experience is a plus
- Familiarity with distributed data management and the trade-offs inherent in building clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant systems software desirable
- Familiarity with x86 and PowerPC architectures desirable
- Familiarity with virtualization and storage management desirable
