The Director of Strategic Finance would be a part of the Strategic Finance team at Nutanix. This team is responsible for driving the financial analysis and strategic decision-making for the company. They work closely with the executive team and department heads to understand business objectives and provide insights and recommendations. The team is highly analytical and process-oriented, with a focus on developing and managing financial models for forecasting and reporting. They play a critical role in long-range planning, budgeting, and driving overall business strategy.
Your Role
- Lead company-wide long-range planning and decision-making support
- Provide strategic financial counsel to executive team
- Prepare materials for board meetings and support strategic initiatives
- Own Annual/Quarterly P&L, ARR, and Free Cash Flow forecasting
- Perform budget/forecast versus actual analysis and generate insights for senior management
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to executive leadership
- Provide ad hoc analyses and critical messages to executives and leadership
- Develop strategic and long-range plans
What You Will Bring
- 10+ years of progressive growth in Finance, Strategy, or Operations
- Enterprise SaaS experience
- MBA preferred
- Ability to develop strategic and long-range plans
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Highly analytical and process oriented
- Skilled at building and driving new frameworks and processes
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
About the Team
**About Your Manager:**
You will report to the Sr. Finance Director, Strategic Finance. He has a wealth of experience, having previously worked at Adobe for 4 years, where his last position was Director of Finance.

**How We Work:**
This is a hybrid role, meaning you will have the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. However, please note that you will need to live in San Jose / San Francisco, Bay Area, California, for this position.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD
$164,320 and USD $328,680 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
