Learn more about our products at www.nutanix.com or follow us on Twitter @Nutanix.The OEM technical program manager will own the program management lifecycle for the Nutanix OEM product lines, which includes scheduling, coordinating, and managing hardware and software projects and launches for OEM products across organizations. In this role you will work closely with the engineering teams on both the Nutanix side and the OEM/partner side. Projects include, but are not limited to, platform qualification, component qualification, major software feature additions, bug fixes, KB article generation and joint OEM factory deployments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
> Communicate all key OEM project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule and scope changes
> Lead and coordinate OEM NPI/component qualification activities related to all releases including the execution of deployment plans and checklists
> Manage oncall/support case follow-ups, Knowledge base article generation and OEM communications
> Working closely with product management and engineering teams on planning and executing OEM/partner requested SW features
> Assist with bug triaging and prioritization
> Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations worldwide
> Forward plan release windows and cycles for all OEM products
> Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
> Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations
> Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or related field
> 8-10 years previous release and/or project management experience
> 5 years of experience at Enterprise equipment or services company in a systems analysis or development position
> Solid understanding of release and project management principles
> Familiarity with hardware and software development life cycle models
> Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
> Basic understanding of platforms (Disks/flash, NICs, processors, RAM, storage controllers)
> Experience with bug tracking and management system (JIRA, Bugzilla, …)
> Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward completion
> Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
> Advanced written and verbal communication skills a must
> General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office and expert knowledge of Excel
