Position at LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group

We are looking for an experienced gaming lawyer to head up our newly established gaming and product specialist unit. You will be the Group Head of Legal - Gaming and responsible for all legal advice, and contracts relating to the games and payment product. You will be responsible for managing, mentoring and developing lawyers both who are direct reports or which will sit in other legal departments and be made available to your function as support lawyers. 

You will develop best practice templates, maintain legal relationships with keep suppliers and stakeholders within the business, have an outstanding knowledge and passion for the gaming product.

What will you be doing:
  • Principal contact for and leading Gaming Unit within the Legal Department on all day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations and drafting of all Gaming and Payment Supplier agreements.
  • Preparing and revising in-house templates relating to your unit.
  • Handling and overseeing legal projects and/or tasks as necessary.
  • Overseeing projects and tasks handled by legal team members as necessary.
  • Ad hoc compliance and legal projects/duties as may be required from time to time.
  • Providing training and guidance to employees of the business on Gaming supplier agreements and more generally on aspects of contract law as well as coordinating work tasks for junior members of the Legal Department.
  • Ensuring appropriate processes and procedures are in place in respect of assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Reporting to the Group Director of Legal.

Qualifications:

  • Law Degree in a European Jurisdiction, a Swedish speaking lawyer qualified in Malta or England and Wales would be considered an advantage but is not a necessity;
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as an in-house lawyer (preferably with a gaming operator and/or game supplier) or in private practice with a law firm with specific focus on gaming and payment supplier agreements;
  • Self-driven and able to follow through all assigned tasks and projects to completion independently, and also to take direction and also take full ownership of the responsibilities assigned;
  • Uphold a high standard of work ethic, always ensuring to complete all assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner;
  • A team player who enjoys a multicultural and multi-national environment.
