ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Business Analyst will be supporting in driving the company towards its financial & business objectives through detailed budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive business and financial analysis. This role is suited for a strategic thinker with outstanding analytical skills and understanding of budgeting processes. The ideal candidate will possess experience in financial planning and analysis with a focus on budget management. The analyst will be working closely with the Management team, the Heads of different departments and other strategic roles within the company. The role will also provide opportunity to help with other projects throughout the Data & Analytics team, share ideas, grow in the profession, and assume responsibilities.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Supporting in developing, maintaining, and refining advanced financial models for budgeting and forecasting, incorporating industry-specific metrics and scenario analysis.
- Collaborating with key department heads to collect, analyse, and leverage business and financial data for strategic decision-making.
- Monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, and formulating strategies for optimisation and efficiency improvement.
- Supporting establishing and implementing stringent budgeting processes and controls to uphold financial integrity and compliance throughout the company.
- Remaining informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in the different markets that could impact financial strategies..
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential skills:
- Experience in financial planning and analysis and in the online gaming or digital entertainment industries will be considered as an advantage.
- Strong academic background is preferred – MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer science, Econometrics, Management, Finance, Accounting or other relevant education/business experience
- Proficiency in Excel is a must; experience with EPM software such as Adaptive, data visualization tools such as Tableau and basic knowledge in SQL and Python is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and organisational skills, combined with the ability to communicate complex financial and business information effectively.
- Strong aptitude for collecting data from many sources, carrying out analysis, and providing insight from the findings.
Nice to have skills:
- iGaming industry knowledge.
