ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Backend Engineer you will be part of the development of value-generating features to provide the greatest iGaming experience possible! The Retention Team is responsible for facilitating the organization with an in-house developed toolbox to supply, enhance and elevate the organization's capabilities within our omnichannel approach for player communication. We always strive for excellence in our communication capabilities which includes all types of transactions ranging from registration, verification, bonus & offer sendouts, live-session communications - with a large portion of innovation to it.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

●        Developing a multi-brand gaming platform called Rhino, built on 230+ microservices. As a part of this solution, you will decide how to build it (yes, we will be listening to your advice as we trust you are an expert in what you do 😊).

●        Building new features (75% of the time vs 25% of the time dealing with legacy/refactoring).

●        Testing and updating documentation.

●        Working closely with 6 Backend Engineers, a JavaScript Engineer and a QA Engineer. You will report to Johan - Engineering Manager based in Sweden.

●        You will also be asked to be available on-call a maximum of once per quarter (for a week of on-call availability you will get an additional 2 500 PLN net + additional paid days off).

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

●        You are a Java “speaker” using Spring Boot framework (min. 5 years of experience).

●        You are familiar with microservice architectures.

●        You know Kafka and MySQL.

●        You speak English fluently (B2/C1 level is a minimum, as we communicate mostly in English).
 

NICE TO HAVES

●        You’re no stranger to working with Kotlin (you don't have to know it but be open to learning it).
