ABOUT THE ROLE           
 
As LeoVegas continues to grow and expand globally, we are looking for a talented team member to become an integral part of our global tax team. We are seeking a tax specialist to assist in direct and indirect tax matters, including but not limited to Maltese tax computations and tax returns. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work within the full spectrum of tax (including gaming tax) on both an operational and strategic level. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, have strong organisational and analytical skills, a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks. 
 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:                 

  • Preparation of tax computations, tax returns and other tax compliance documents as required
  • Assisting  in the compilation of the quarterly and yearly group tax reporting package
  • Supporting the tax and finance team on income tax, gaming tax and VAT related matters
  • Providing internal support for VAT related queries and evaluate VAT implications as required
  • Liaising with external advisors on tax projects
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in domestic and international tax legislation
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams (legal, regulatory and compliance, finance, and other relevant stakeholders) to support business needs.
               
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
   
Essential Skills:        
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar role in a consultancy firm such as Big4
  • Good knowledge of the Maltese tax law
  • Specific experience in VAT and/or gaming tax is valuable.

Nice to have skills:              

  • Experience from an international environment, the iGaming industry or other tech related industries.
