RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is accountable for assisting in the management, coordination, development and production of efficient, economical, and reliable timetables and work programs for NYC Transit Buses.
 
DUTIES
Prepare supplementary timetables for temporary single track, line closure, rerouting and special events to ensure the provision of an acceptable level of service or alternative service to passengers on rail lines undergoing rehabilitation. Prepare supplemental work programs for temporary single track, line closure, rerouting and special events to provide operating personnel with a manageable and operable schedule. Assist in the development and production of timetables, work programs and other required schedule material for the rapid division to provide the public with a schedule that is reliable and responsive to their transportation needs and to minimize personnel and rolling stock needed to provide the requisite level of service.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Planning or Transportations Planning, or a closely related field, and two (2) years of related experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or
a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
 
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience with NYCT Bus operations, bus service analysis or planning, and/or schedule making.
