Position Title:                   Preventative Maintenance, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate:                    $19.00 (Undergraduate), $21.00 (Graduate)
 
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
 
 
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
Preventive Maintenance Department is responsible for managing maintenance contracts, scheduling, planning, policies, and other support services. In addition, this department currently runs and manage the Asset Management system. The Asset Management system is extremely technical and requires the understanding of SQL, computer terminology, and the understanding of Hexagon EAM. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the needs of the maintenance planners.
  • Assisting with creating and managing excel spreadsheets.
  • Assisting with supporting MTA BT’s Enterprise Asset Management products.
  • Assist on data entry, QA/ QC data inputs, and testing of the system developments and enhancements.
  • Assist the Authority on identifying trouble issues.
  • Review contractor work tickets and ensure all the necessary information is filled out as needed.
  • Management of employee qualifications.
  • Spot checking of work order comments, report running/ reviewing.
 
PROJECTS:
  •  Assist with HeXagon EAM data entry.
  • Assist with employee data categorization within HeXagon and for contracts.
  • Assisting with contract management for various Maintenance contracts including HVAC, Generators, Recycling and Uniforms.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills. 
  • The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
  • Major(s) Preferred: Engineering; Maintenance; Computer Science; or related field.
