CAD/3D Surfacing Expert
Logitech is currently seeking a CAD Designer / Master Surfacing Expert with outstanding 3D surfacing skills to join our multidisciplinary team in Cork, Ireland. The role is responsible for providing surfacing expertise and helping realize design solutions in Creo, in order to deliver the highest quality design possible for our future products. This role will join a developing CAD Team and will help develop & implement best practice for CAD standards & methodologies aimed at delivering design quality throughout the product development process. The role will support CAD Administration team as we put in place structure to help our design team work better, faster, smarter.
This is a 1 yr Fixed Term Contract

In this role you will:
Work in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
Craft the future products and experiences of Logitech
Use your Creo, Windchill PDMLink and Logitech Product Lifecycle knowledge to enable our 165 strong Mechanical Engineering team to work better, smarter, faster.
Build understanding of all CAD / CAE areas of the Mechanical Engineering Role and support it on an adhoc basis. This will involve 3D assembly and part building using top down design principles, drafting, and Masterfile building
Provide support in the development of internal skills and tools to help the team stay at the forefront of our field
Help define and implement best CAD surfacing practices and process with partners in Mechanical Engineering, delivering and maintaining design quality throughout the product development process.
Partner with industrial designers of all levels on ID projects
Contribute to all phases of the Master Surfacing process from concept, to strategic, to implementation
Support ID & ME to work faster in early concept . Influence how we share data & knowledge between the groups
Support day to day CAD Administration tasks.
Work with CAD Admin team to create a global training strategy that is right for logitech and user (just in time/just enough) and help curatate & deliver the content
Occasionally travel overnight nationally and internationally

10+ years of relevant experience in Master Surfacing / Creo product development
Exhibit meticulous attention to detail when required
Well-versed in product development and PLM process
Experience administering a CAD Data Management System
Understand latest CE technologies and manufacturing processes and how to best implement them
Excellent skills in ideation, concept visualization, form development, CAD, model making & rapid prototyping
Highly driven and proactive self-starter - taking on a task without much context and driving it through

A BS in Mechanical Engineering / BA in Industrial Design or a related degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
