The Role:

Logitech is seeking an experienced Technical manager for CAD in Cork, Ireland to join a cross-functional team designing and engineering consumer electronic products.  You will be an integral member of a global team that develops new consumer devices from concept through to production.  

The ideal candidate has strong skills in mechanical engineering, 3D Computer Aided Design (3D CAD), Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) & Knowledge Management.

In this role you will:

  • Drive the digital transformation of Logitech’s hardware engineering organisation.
  • Lead & implement projects such as
  • Introduce Model Based Definition to Logitech’s worldwide mechanical engineering team & suppliers.
  • Design and execution of an engineering knowledge management system.
  • Partner with IT & operations to optimise our PTC Windchill setup & it’s connection with corporate’s Oracle PLM setup.
  • Analyse & optimise our engineering systems & work practices leveraging data science.
     

Key Qualifications

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • 5 years experience as a mechanical engineer.
  • 5 years experience as a project lead.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer product development & product lifecycle management systems. Experience with PTC Creo & Windchill is a bonus.
  • Ability to build a vision & roadmap.
  • Ability to influence virtual teams.
  • Strong Communication skills.
  • Strong Presentation skills.
  • Passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Design Thinking approach.
  • Able to speak up and own.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree.
  • Project management training.
     

Other considerations

  • Occasional international travel required.
  • This role requires 2-3 days per week in the Cork office.
