We are looking to hire a passionate and highly collaborative Interaction Designer to join our AR/VR seed business group in Cork, an exciting new startup within Logitech, reporting directly to the Program Director. We need someone entrepreneurial, a critical thinker, an innovator. This team are in a unique position to reimagine the way people interact with each other and their content through spatial computing. The work is developing the tools, interface and user experience in the next major computing paradigm. In this role, you will enjoy a broad range of work in the Augmented & Virtual reality space. You should be a passionate advocate for the human, dedicated to the craft of UX design, and excited about working in an agile, highly collaborative environment. You’ll work with a passionate, world-class team, stakeholders who want big thinking, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape and define a new generation of user experiences in a fast-moving environment.
Develop workflows, user task analysis, interaction flows, wireframes, low fidelity mock-ups, navigational flows, and high fidelity prototypes for AR/VR
Work with UX researchers to design and observe user studies and translate research findings into insights and design improvements.
Work at the early concept phase (organizing and running idea sessions, creating moodboards, storyboarding, brainstorming, creating user scenarios and developing concept sketches).
Conceptualize, design, build, and extend user experiences in AR/VR
Work closely with external 3rd party application partners to ensure highly integrated experiences (device & application)
Developing next generation UI & aesthetics for spatial computing workflows under tight deadlines, while effectively managing trade-offs between business needs and customer benefit.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
3+ years of demonstrable experience in designing usable software experiences in an agile, startup-like product development environment.
Ability to think and design for 3D and spatial computing environments
Strong portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking and core skills across a variety of categories and formats, with specialization in 3D content and/or games
Solid formal academic background in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field, or commensurate work experience; advanced degree a plus.
Fluency with common design software (InDesign, Illustrator, XD, Photoshop, Keynote) for the creation of visual design artifacts and presentations.
Understanding of iterative prototyping as an essential part of the design process.
Effective time management skills to balance project schedules with fast-paced deadlines.
A passion for creating designs which are simple, elegant and useful as well as beautiful, approachable and playful.
Comfort and experience working directly with development teams
Knowledge of the Unity or other game engines
Experience building & shipping User Experiences integrating hardware and software
